Procter & Gamble to Relocate HQ Panama

Not only will Hewlett – Packard and Caterpillar install regional HQ in Panama, but now Procter & Gamble (P&G) has announced their intention to move their corporate offices to Panama. P& G is one of the world’s greatest multinationals corporations, with presence in more than 160 countries, with production in foods, drinks, medicines and a vast range of beauty and hygiene articles such as Gillette, Ariel, Tampax and Pringles.

“The vice-minister of Foreign trade Carmen Gisela Vergara confirmed (news of their move) to us during the budgetary visit of the ministry,” said Deputy Elizabeth Hernandez, secretary of the Commission of Budget of the Assembly.

“With the recently approved multinationals law, (Panama) is managing to attract the regional HQ of these corporations, and more are coming, including shipping and other call centers.”

A source related to the Presidency of the Republic confirmed the data, and detailed that the transnational company thinks to relocate 270 of its executives to the country, suggesting a considerably large investment. “P & G thinks to transfer their regional HQ from Venezuela and Guatemala to Panama”, the source affirmed.
